Pours clear, pale golden with a small, frothy, lightly off-white head. Aroma is lightly malty, some yeast with very weak caramel. High carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is softly malty, some yeast, lightly vinious. Simple and very elegant. tarjei (1753), Bryne, Norway

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2009 Bottle. Clear yellow gold with large white head. Malty citrus aroma. Flavour is yeasty, little spice, coriander, grass, hops. Mellow for a tripel. Middle of the road but pleasantly surprised for a Grimbergen. JorisPPattyn (5184), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 12, 2008 Fluffy white head over fully clear golden beer. There is yeast, but one has to be extremely persistent to get it out. White candi sugar, vanilla, dry yeastcake, parsley or chervil, graindust or chaff. Quite malty in taste, and unmistakably the stamp of WCS - thethingthatIcannottasteaccordingtoeverybrewer. Strange, but not unpleasant flavour of mushroomskins, chestnut mushrooms. Yeast has all the bitterness in, so you need to pour it to the dregs. Every new sips starts out threatening to get very sweet, but gets drier and drier in the palate. Medium bodied at best, some alcohol apparent. Wheat plays peek-a-boo - then I seem to get it, then not. Again a Grimbergen that is not bad at all, in se. I was under the impression it had to be aimed at the Leffe 9, but in character it has more from the Leffe tripel, which is not a bad thing. It certainly shows a balance, albeit a precarious one.
