Commercial Description:
Here is the new Grimbergen beer. A strong beer, with a strong taste of alcohol. It comes like the Leffe 9° competitor

10/01 0.25 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, great thanks for giving it away! It poured clear golden body with smaller head. Pretty weak aroma with typical fruity yeast and a bit winy. Flavor was pretty weak as well, but the base was good, banana yeasty spiced with some herbs and based on sweetish vanilla and caramel malts. Despite its thin body, alcohol is nicely hidden. Pretty much below average for the style, but a nice beer to drink.

Bottled(250ml). -From E.Leclerc Ljubljana. Six pack costs around 8€.
Dark golden coloured, medium sized white head, dusty light alcoholic and faint fruity nose. Quite yeasty, sweet malty and mild herbal taste with touch of spices. Alcohol is hidden.

Bottle courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!), shared with heavy. Poured a golden body with a small white head that went away fast. Dusty and acidic vinuous nose. Odd. Ok yeasty taste, with some herbal hopiness and a maltiness that’s just a bit eggy. Cloves show up a bit on the glue side. Lemony finish. Overall not too impressive but interesting in a way.

.I had this after some Delrium. the later was unpolished but flavoursome. the former was too sweet and could use more dryness as a redemption: sorta tryiing to resemble Duvel but without the guts or street creed. Nice though and eazy to sink despite dangerous ABV %.

Dark amber beer with medium carbonation and a small short lasting head. Fantastic initial taste - malty with plenty of fruits (banana, pear) and a pleasant finish. Definately has it over Leffe 9.

Darker amber coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a small white head. Fruity, sweet malty and yeasty aroma. Full light creamy palate. Finish is fruity, full malty with clear alcoholic yeasty touches. Nice balanced strong ale.
