| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 12, 2009 33cl bottle, as shown. Dark, clear nutty brown colour, medium beige head that collapses mui rapido, but leaves plenty of lacing behind. Aroma of roasted malts and dark sweet fruit, but with a prominent, stinging vinegar note on top. Low carbonation, medium body and mouth feel. Sweet-and-sour fruit taste, with a bitter-ish malty side note. again some noticeable vinegar. Stinging sweet finish and after taste. At 10% abv, any bruno might well also be optimo, but if you’re not into really sweetish, in-your-face dubbels/tripels, you may want to steer clear. davidm (154), Melbourne, Australia

It has a burnt aroma, with caramel, toffee, chocolate, and also wheat. Flavour is long-lasting, sweet, and there is bitterness at the end. Medium body, good in the palate, just a bit watery. Dark red colour, with a thin, frothy, and long-lasting head.
