[Vintage 2005, Sampled 2008] Brown with a low but dense head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of caramel, dates and spice. The flavours are dark overripe fruits, spicy and roasted malts. It has aged surprisingly well.

Bottle - 330ml. Nice dark brown body with ruby glints and a good off-white foamy head. Malty/hoppy aroma with brown sugar and fruity hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Robust taste that carries plummy and caramel notes. Ends with a decent bittersweet, warming finish. Good stuff.

330ml bottle (Gollem, Amsterdam)
Deep red, tiny head. Sharp fruity aroma. Soft mouthfeel. Sweet fruity body - apricot and dark fruits, and plenty of soft dark roasted malts. Gets more berry-like over time. Almost no indication of 10%. Oaky finish.

Dark brown, almost black, with reddish notes. Large tan head. Taste of chocolate, candy sugar, and dried fruits. Nicely balanced, almost light, easy to drink, despite high alcohol.
