330 ml bottle. Average white head. Coarse bubbles. Dark brown color with a red hue. Sugary caramel aroma. Surprisingly little aroma. Flavour is very sweet with notes of raisins, candy sugar and figs. Alcohol is dominating the palate. Complex flavours, but a tad too sweet.

33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, very complex, clear, small head, nice brew, the best of the Grimbergen-range

A great goodnight beer with a long time to be sampled. Darkbrown look with a big foamy beige head. Lots of notes such as alcohol, raisins, Grimbergen yeast, sugar, dried fruits, smoothyness, spices and more. Has the elements to be a great beer, but lacks a little, I don’t know what, but maybe some metaldust!!!

Ruby-red colour, white head. Aroma: a complexity of red fruits. Flavours of red wine, red fruits. A bit sour, but also a typical grimbergen sweetness. Alcohol well hidden. Nice beer.

Bottle. Majestic-looking reddish-brown with a medium head. Let’s see...this is a total cornuicopia of fruits, with apples leading the way followed by pears, cherries, and nectarines. Hints of brown sugar as well. Flavor has some alcohol in the back end as well as sugar cane, like that "Sugar in the Raw" stuff they have in brown packets in some restaurants. Somewhat effervescent, well-masked 10%.

Looks like mixed with grenadine. Little bit sweet flavour. In despite of this, the flavour is apalling. Sweet, malt, bitter, it’s got almost everything.

Amber/brown colored brew. Sweet cherry, wine like aroma. Acidic, wine-like flavor. Sweet and fruity. Brown sugar. Could use some more thick body. Overall interesting.

Adherent and compact foam, optimal persistence. Amber brown color, lightly dark and much bubbly; optimal aspect. Decided scent, much persistent and fort. Extremely complex with forts notes of cognac, caramel and alcohol. Powerful and full bodied taste, much strong and of good duration. Much bitter finish.
