Has notes of caramel and spices. Flavour is caramelsweet and has notes of coriander, I believe. Distinct alcahol burn in the aftertaste. Decent beer, but by far not the best BSA, i’ve tried. Sweet fruit-accented (plums, dried berries) aroma with light toasty and slightly acidic vinous notes, accompanied with a touch of alcohol. Sweet, sugary flavour, full bodied with medium to lively carbonation. Malty and fruity taste with a vinous and a light spicy note; sweet malty and balanced fruity finish with a quite well-integrated alcohol according to the high abv. Not very complex but pleasant to drink. Cornfield (4946), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 18, 2006 This is a tempting looking beer, pouring a clear brown body highlighted in orange and red, sporting a hefty beige head that laces the class nicely. It smells like a fruit flavored liquer, but I’m having trouble with the fruit. Tart Cherries? Some sour oranges? There’s a toffee sweetness in there, too. The flavor retains that fruity tartness, sourness. The alcohol pushes its way forward. Brown sugar tips its hat and shakes its hand with some caramel. The finish is hot and sticky sweet. Very nice. A dark brown coloured beer with a dark red hue and a nice off white blanket of a head which leaves reasonable lacing. The aroma is moussey fruits with candy sugar and a little treacle. A very nice smell. The taste is strong and malty. A touch sweet and some candy sugar. Berry fruits and a tasty long finish. Alcohol doesn’t show itself to be 10% Lubiere (4529), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
