Bottle, 33cl. A pleasent surprise. Much better than Grimbergen Dubbel, Triple or even Cuvée de L’ermitage. Beautiful red/amber colour, with a long lasting beige head that leaves a fine lace in glass. The aroma is probably the thing that’s less developed in this beer: malt and caramel but nothing very intense. Flavour is fantastic! A little sweet at the beggining, it becomes powerful and complex. Alcohol is always there but not overwhelming. Dry aftertaste. Great beer!

Bottle @ La Mort Subite. Large beige fizzy head that mostly lasted. Good lacing. Mahogany colour. Aroma was yeast, caramel, dry fruit, liquorish, vinous, caramel, hint of sweet chocolate and lots of brown sugar. Full bodied with a light alcoholic and light syrupy like texture. Moderated to heavy sweet malty and brown sugar flavour with a hint of acidic. Sweet and lingering brown sugar finish. I know it was sweet, but I thought it was great anyways.

Coloração marrom avermelhada e turva. Creme bege, ótimo. Notas de caramelo, laranja e possivelmente vinho. Licorosa. Levemente amarga. Muito bem balanceada. Carbonatação baixa. Muito boa!

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Very dark, zippy, not much foam. Flavor very strong, sweet and malty. Very good beer.

Strong aroma with a strong bitter foam. Dark brown colour. Strong sweet flavor with licorice notes and a good palate. Some notes of alcohol in the end (but nothing too important).

Pours a dark red color with a nice cream color head. Aroma or roasted malts, brown sugars and dry fruits. Flavors are sweet and sour, with brown sugars and roasted malts, dry plums fruits and caramels. A dry and sweet finish and a feel of spices with a good ballance of flavors. Very nice and enjoyable.

0.33 bottle, dark amber colour with beige and creamy head. taste very sweet, like caramel and candy orange in the final. A good beer with a strong personality!
