Citrusy spicey aroma. Good crisp tripel with a very floral nose of tropical fruit, coriander, and wheat. Nice beer but has a bit of excess alcohol showing. Grovlam (3825), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Bottle. Large fizzy head that mostly lasted. Clear sparkling body with a yellow color. Good display of lacework. Yeast, coriander, citrus, spice and caramel. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and hint of alcoholic texture. Light to moderated sweet malty flavor with some bitter and acidic notes. Sweet and spicy finish. An average Triple in my book. davegore (202), liverpool, Merseyside, England

Meget lækker fyldig og frugtig i smagen. Belgisk gær kan anes.
Duften er kraftig frugtsødme.
Meget dejlig øl. almopina (87), Madrid, Spain
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 30, 2007 One of the best Grimbergen I have ever had. Very similar to a trappist beer. This one, however, is pale blonde. I will have more of this. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2007 A rich clean brown pour with a light head that disipates quickly. An aroma that at first reminded me of apple juice but then comes across with an almost brown sugar push. A flavor that is sweet malt up front and a hint of fruit and spice followed by an alcohol that is different than warm but not really hot. Just a tad of bitter in the finish. A palate that is almost thick but not quite. Carbonation that is probably ok for the style but a little over the top for me. Fin (3466), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 2, 2007 Bottle, and understandably the last of the three Grimbergens tried, I had them before but never rated so wanted to go back and revisit. Poured a warm golden colour with a slight haziness to it. The increase in alcohol over the other two Grimbergens was quite evident even just on the aroma, but like the others there was a definate yeast and maltiness detected on the nose. Taste was altogether more complex and interesting that it’s stablemates but the alcohol was always lingering in the background, really good chewyness, and fruitiness to this beer some nice burnt toffee notes maybe, but very nice easily attainable beer. tarjei (1758), Bryne, Norway
