330ml bottle. Pale yellow, slightly hazy. Bubbly white head - most of it short-lived. Light aroma of fresh fruit. Sweet spicy taste with apple notes. The strong alcohol is very much present in the aftertaste.

Bottle 0,33l. Aroma is malt with notes of caramel, apple, spices (intense) and alcohol; some solvente feeling. Clear amber colour with large white head; good lacing and persistence; tiny particles. Flavour is mainly sweet which becomes more balanced in the finish since the bitter note raises up a bit. Medium body, oily texture with a lively carbonation; harsh alcoholic feeling in the finish. NIce beer, but alcohol and spices overvcome the fruity notes and go towards a light solvent feeling.

Evilly smooth, creamily frothy and calmly effervescing, this is a cointreau-sodden treat. Thick, sweet, tangily fruity(oranges), without any of the brandyish burning alcohol you might expect from a beer of this strength. Maybe a little sticky and one-dimensional, but who gives a monkey’s? I like it.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden-orange beer with lots of carbonation, but just a small, off-white head. Yeast, cloves, citrus and green apples in the aroma. It is quite sticky and fizzy in the mouth, with candisugar, cloves, some alcohol and fruitiness. Long bitter finish. It leaves nice lacings in the glass. Pleasant, but could use a bit more head, nose and flavor. Had some cheese, mustard and celery-salt to go with it after the rating was noted, and that lifted the experience a bit. But not my rating, though. (060621)

Very nice clovey nose with some pepper and a lot of sweet citrus. Pours gold with some good lace. Flavour is great - complex fruit and malt with herb and spice coming through thick and fast and finishes long and astringent on the back of the tongue (in a good way). A really nice triple that sits up there with the best - albeit slightly let down by too much carbonation. I think I still prefer the double, but this one is a winner as well.

[Draught at Delirium Café] Amber colour, not very rich head for a triple. Fruity, gluey nose. Little sticky malt profile with a fruity tone. One-dimensional, and that is the sweetness. Where is the almond paste? The tropical fruits? The...the...triple?

Amber colour, quite muddy with golden tones. Good soft head. A clear sweetness to the aroma with tones of orange, caramel and cinnamon. The flavour is dominated by caramel (probably from dark sugars) and even has ’time’ to end on a hoppy bitter finish. Highly carbonated.
