For the nightcap only. Actually, I prefer the Double Grimbergen for flavor, but this is a very nice rendition. Too many pubs lack proper glassware, and you will want to ensure that yours is as fresh as it should be (no dust on the bottle).

Light gold in colour with a large white head. Aromas are grain, spice, sugar and some bubblegum. Flavours are sweet and spicy with bubblegum (again). Flavours are pretty mellow, but this has a nice sparkle and the alcohol isn't in your face.

Gold colour with white head. Alcohol taste with slight cherry. Not bad, not very special.

(17 Jan 04) Found this in the bargin bin - best before Dec 03 but the bottle conditioning and strength must have saved it. Deep gold in colour with a foamy, white head. Strongly alcoholic nose with malt and apricot notes. Soft, sweet, malty body. The beer's strength is apparent in the slightly metallic finish.

Clear yellow with a quiet white head. Subtle nose of wheat, lemon peel and sour corn. Palate is a good bubbly alcohol bite, and the flavor is a mild (for 9%) semi-thick lemon and honey. A good tripel, but not outstanding.

Golden coloured. Light fruity aroma. Notes of fruit, yeast and some bitterness in the flavour. One-dimensional.

Cloudy amber. Large head. Yeasty, fruity taste. Banana, orange in particular. Bitter in taste and finish.

Clear straw color with a huge foamy head. Yeasty esthers with some fruit and (call me crazy) but I get dried mustard too! Sweet without being syrupy, hay, yeast and spice flavors. A bit fizzy.
