Good before the meal, then chuck for a good merlot. Don't listen to the locals, hammer this one cold, very cold. LarsHolmer (112), Göteborg, Sweden

Malt aroma, citrus fruits, bread, spices; a fresh garden. Some malt flavor, some sweetness, very light liquorice, alcohol touch. Ordinary final. Easy to drink, but not outstanding. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 12, 2003 Yellow with amber shine. Creamy white head. Champenoise pearling, lacey. Nose with white sugar, grain, flowery, sugar syrup. Syrupy taste, scorched sugar with bitterish-metallic tang. Maize or corn-syrup? Very obvious carbonation, with sourish CO2-character. Medium-bodied. One of the lesser tripels. The metallic, schorched taste is unforgivable. Do they WANT a bad name? RichardGretton (3160), Leicestershire, England

Fruity alcoholic aroma and a dense fruity alcoholic flavour that has a very bitter finish. A good Belgian triple. nigos (620), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 21, 2003 Aroma of apples and black pepper. Brilliantly clear red/gold colour with fine white head and tiny bubbles. Has a little honey and apricots in the flavour but the yeast brings out perhaps a little too much bite. Clean acidic finish, excellent mouthfeel. Could have been a lot better if it had a more balanced flavour.
