Commercial Description:
Grisette Blonde is a pale ale that is very refreshing in summer. When drunk at a moderate temperature, it releases aromas of a richness that it is seldom found in other beers of this strength. Its head is smooth and white. It has a light yellow colour.

Bottled. Unclear yellow coloured. Dense white head. Sweet, fruity and light yeasty beer both in aroma and flavour. Quite easy to drink and very fresh, but also a bit too bland. Is thin and watery. Ends on a light spiced and fruity note.

Totally filtered golden ale nevertheless presenting a long-lasting, large white cover with belgian lace. Highly grainy maltiness and a hefty dose of coriander pretty much annihilate any other flavor component, making the beer bi-dimensional. The yeast never manages to impart much character besides dullish breadiness and redundant esters that walk hand in hand with the coriander. Quite fizzy on the tongue as well, which does not help to improve its taste range. So the bottom line is that this could have been interesting and I’d be curious to try a version with the appropriate palate, e.g. not drowned in coriander and thinness from the filtration.

All of the grisette beers are good, they are what we normally drink at lunch time, so we can still work in the afternoon ! Living and working in Belgium is hell :o)

(25cl bottle) Pours a huge, frothy cloud of a white head with a hazy golden body. Nose of mild citrus, oranges, yeast and coriander spice. Flavour is a tad thin, mildly milky within a good yeasty tongue. All in all average but would be daily very drinkable.

Bottle. White high a good looking head. Light yellow clear body. Lemon aroma. Not much bitterness and a thin mouthfeel, on the other hand the aftertaste stays in your mouth for a long time.

25 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Golden colour with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma of yeast, fruit and honey. Fresh flavour of yeast, malt and ends up little watery and with a light bitter finish.
