Commercial Description:
Grisette Blonde is a pale ale that is very refreshing in summer. When drunk at a moderate temperature, it releases aromas of a richness that it is seldom found in other beers of this strength. Its head is smooth and white. It has a light yellow colour.

Golden, with an ok white head. Aroma from caramel and fruit. Flavor brings grapefruit and apples, some malts, some bitterness.

A light Golden color with a huge rocky white head. A grassy scent with some mild spice. The flavor is odd, unfortunately the spice reminds me a bit of an aftershave, this isn't a good thing in a beer.

Bottled. Blonde with a large white head. Bitter/sweet with medium bitter finish, nothing wrong with this but nothing remarkable either.

Bottled (250ml). Pale gold colour. Grassy aroma with some yeast. Clean and fresh, but no great complexity. Essentially this is a good quaffer. But you'd need to buy a few if you were quaffing - not only a Belgian beer under 5%, but in 250ml bottles. Needless to say, this one didn't last long. Although this is badged as a St Feuillen beer, the latest edition of Tim Webb's book suggests it is contract brewed at Heineken's Affligem plant. Incidentally, as well as being a small warbler-like bird, grisette was also 19th century French slang for a sexually active woman of the lower orders. The closest current UK colloquial equivalent is probably slapper.

Bottle. Clean and refreshing with some sweetness and a gentle but interesting and juicy citric dance. A decent little brew.

Nose is spicy. Very spicy blond ale with notes of corriander and curacao. There is a sour bitterness to this beer that is quite pleasant.

Very nice, with a sharp hop character.

found myself liking this less the further i made my way down the glass. quite a pleasant hay aroma. the taste is mainly applecore with just a bit of medicinal nastiness. but yes, a weird beer
