sebletitje (404), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 11, 2008 25cl bottle.
Pours golden with a thick white head.
Aroma is fruity all around.
Taste is of apple, prune and coing, bottle indicates 31% juice used in the beer and some added aroma. The juice helps make this beer stand out from the fruit beers that use way too many fake extract. Little presence of malt.
The idea of the beer is to use fruits that are local to the region, and I really enjoy the concept of local beer.
Beer is really refreshing; low abv, ideal for hot weather. shrubber85 (2592), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle. Chemical rotting apple aroma. Hazy yellow-orange color with large head. Very sweet apple-cranberry flavor. Another super Belgian fruit beer. JorisPPattyn (4514), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 8, 2008 Huge, very dense yellowish head over faintly hazy straw-golden beer; some lace. Penetrative nose of fruit, especially apples, and a spicy note - maybe sage? Perfumed, and, I must confess, intriguing. Sweet, apples (but not cidery). I dig the apples, I seem to dig the quinces, I don’t dig the plums. Sweet, but not really exaggerated. Very fizzy MF, light bodied, slick. Not undeserving - in the same "style", I have encountered other horrors. gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 15, 2008 Bottle @ Maria tasting. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma isapple, plum, oak. Flavour is apple, plum, oak. Ordinary beer. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 12, 2008 Updated: Jun 30, 2008Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, quite pale golden beer with a small white head. Green apples and plums make the aroma. The flavor follows the same path, lower on plums, but generic fruity, sweetness added, and with a touch of bitterness. Medium to thin body with a pleasant level of carbonation. The finish has apples and a little sourish touch. Not my cup of tea, it’s too focused on apples, leaving too little room for beery flavors. (080413)
