Commercial Description:
Scintillating, fresh and delicately flavoured, Grisette Fruits des Bois is a light, refreshing beer that is brewed with the best malt and wheat. This blend creates a riot of sweet yet slightly bitter tastes redolent of wild berries and other exquisite fruits of the forest.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting pink head. Clear ruby body. Berries aroma, mainly raspberries, sweet and promising. Bitter sweet berries with low carbonation and a long aftertaste. Nicely balanced and far from being as sweet as feared.

25 cL bottle. Pours clear and red with a pink slowly collapsing head. Cherrish and berry fruity aroma. Flavour is subdued sweet berries. Decent acidic fruity touch. Light tartness. Shows a bit more sugarish sweetness along the way. Reminds of the kind of fruity juice my mother could boil of the berries in the garden when I was a kid - just a bit more sweet (without getting cloying).

25cl bottle. Pours unclear red with a creamy pink head. Aroma is wheaty & of course fruity - sweet syrup/sugar that is. Rasperries mainly. Very sticky palate - and very sweet. Surprisingly a bitter note in the end. Soft carbonation. Mainstream fruitbeer - Ok drinkable!

Bottle. Murky, reddish brown body with a small, off-white head. Raspberry, sweetness, malt notes and a slight oxidation in the aroma. Feels a bit one-dimentional in a way. The flavor has some sourness to compete with the raspberry sweetness, as well as some honey-like flavors. Sweet and sticky on the palate. Sweet, berryish finish. Nice enough to drink, ordinary enough to not repeat. (080112)

Deep hazy rosy red coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of sweet raspberries and strawberries with wheat. Light-bodied; Super sweet flavour of caster sugar, fruits and a bit of yeast - very nice & sweet. Aftertaste shows more sweetness with some pale malt coming through. Overall, a great beer - very sweet but definitely showing character! I sampled this beer on draught at Chez Moeder Lambic in Bruxelles, Belgium on 28-December-2007.

Sampled at SBWF, 2007. Hazy red/pink with a pinkish head. Sweet from fruits and berries, still somewhat sour aroma. Very sweet in flavour with some vague berry-notes.
