Commercial Description:
Scintillating, fresh and delicately flavoured, Grisette Fruits des Bois is a light, refreshing beer that is brewed with the best malt and wheat. This blend creates a riot of sweet yet slightly bitter tastes redolent of wild berries and other exquisite fruits of the forest.

Pours a deep pink with a decent pink head. Aroma is sour berries and sugary sweet. Mouth is medium with plenty of carbonation. Flavor is sour raspberry and sweet fruit. Has a light tart finish becoming overly sweet. Nothing special here, but I can’t say it’s all that bad.

25cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers. Cloudy raspberry colour with pink lasting head. Pippy berry aroma. Very sweet fruit in mouth, strawberry, but mostly sweet raspberry, sweet syrupy flaovur. Bit of tingle in mouth on finish. Would do well with the alcopop generation.

An hazy pink to purple ale with an off pink white head. A strong raspeberry jam aroma, like pie, with lots of pits. In mouth, a cloyingly sweet juice, light acidity, with white sugar residues. Not so good. BB 24-07-06.

25 cl. Bottle. Hazy reddish colour with small head. Raspberry aroma with some sweetness. Quite sweet flavour of raspberries and some cherries. Sweet fruity aftertaste. Tasty beer!

Bottled. Reddish/pink coloured.Very unclear. Huge white head with red gleam. Sharp aroma full of berries. Raspberries and blackcurrant is notable to me. Vague sourness. Flavour is very sugary and sweet. Raspberries again, but the sugar kills a lot of flavour IMO. Quite thin and watery. Not much left than sugar and sweetness in the end. Average fruitbeer.

Top-fermented, raspberry-hued fruit beer with a rocky pink head. Yes, pink. Raspberry and sugar dominate, but there’s just enough sharpness and acidity in the finish to make this a refreshing summer quencher, as opposed to cloyingly sticky. Raspberry in the nose, of course. But hats off to the pinkness.

Blackcurrant, sweetness and mild cherries in aroma with mild sourness. Murky dark red color, big pink head. Blackcurrant and cherries in flavor, aftertaste lasts with mild sourness and blackcurrant. I’m not so wild of it.

Deep ruby-pink colored, clear and wearing a respectable pinkish white head. Strong bittersweet fruit nose, hypothetically what they were after, but in such a perfumey way that it feels fake and soapy (lavender). Slightly syrupy, rather concentrated. The carbonation shows less active than I would have thought, but nevertheless active and cheerfully cutting the sweetness a bit, because it IS very sweet indeed in mouth, with limited acidity to backup. Faint lactic character brings a minimal yogurty dimension among the soupy leafiness and brisk, sweetened finish. Unpolished example I must say, leaving an almost plasticy film in the mouth.
