Commercial Description:
Scintillating, fresh and delicately flavoured, Grisette Fruits des Bois is a light, refreshing beer that is brewed with the best malt and wheat. This blend creates a riot of sweet yet slightly bitter tastes redolent of wild berries and other exquisite fruits of the forest.

The aroma of this beer is of freshcut pibe tobacco combined with cherries. The color is a dark hazy red and with a dense white head. The flavor is like fruit syrup of cherries, strawberries, and raspberries combined with pibe tobacco and wood. Unfortunately the body is thin. It is quite weird with the pibe tobacco.

(Bottle 25 cl) Hazy, pale reddish with a small, pinkish head. Rather fresh nose full of lovely berry aroma. Light body with a fine balance between the sweetness from the forest berries and the slight tartness from the wheat base beer. Actually a very pleasant fruit beer with no apparent flaws or tangs - just pure fruit. 240106

25 cL bottle. Pours clear and red with a pink slowly collapsing head. Cherrish and berry fruity aroma. Flavour is subdued sweet berries. Decent acidic fruity touch. Light tartness. Shows a bit more sugarish sweetness along the way. Reminds of the kind of fruity juice my mother could boil of the berries in the garden when I was a kid - just a bit more sweet (without getting cloying).

Bottled. Clear red, rich pink head. Aroma of sweetened raspberries and blueberries. Extremely sweet, light bodied and candyish with notes of saccharine. A kiddie drink.

Draught @ Fox and Hounds, Herning. Unclear / hazy medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate to heavy abrikot or some exsotic fruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Very refreshing. (040907)

Bottled (from lahoublonniere.be). Ruby red colour with big long lasting pink head. Aroma is raspberries, blueberries, some mild sourish notes. Flavour is red currant, raspberry, black currant, blackberry and some sour wooden notes as well. Rather sweet, which makes it best while cold.

Cloudy red color. Sweetish Ale, not bad, with sweet syrup, pleasant.
