Poured a middle of the road amber color, decently carbonated, but rising to the barest of heads. The aroma is quite musty and malty. LIkewise in the flavor, this presents with a starchy maltiness, tangy and orchard-like, with the barest of bitter twists in the finish. In a blind panel, I’d likely have figured this a Festbier, much more than a Bitter. That said, it’s quaffable. (#3160, 10/28/2007) BREWMUSKCLES (1075), New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Oct 23, 2007 no aroma and golden red amber. tangy with strange biiter taste that is slick/chalky. bitter taste lingers a bit too long. strange fruity hop flavor seems totally out of whack. more than a touch of metal. nuff said. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 10, 2007 12oz bottle-pours a creamy off white head and copper color. Aroma is mild yeast, maybe some graininess. Taste is grain/medium malt-caramel, seltzer, odd flat hops. LadySusan (488), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 On tap ( cask). Amber color with a white head. The aroma is sweet caramel, also the taste is sweet as for the bitterness I did not find it that bitter, maybe because of the cask, but I do not think so. It was still a good beer. blankboy (3207), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear bubbly amber-orange with an average size semi-lasting white head. Aroma of caramel malt, floral hops, faint chocolate, some sweet fruit and grain. Slightly watery flavour of light floral hops, some signs of diacytl, grain, caramel malt and an average bitter finish -- there’s something about the finish that I’m not crazy about, not sure what though. Average bodied. A little better then I expected but it’s still quite mediocre. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

clear amber, thin frothy head and a touch of lace, slightly sweet aroma with wonderful floral hops, solid malt flavor, slightly sweet, followed by a wave of hop flavor leaving a trail of bitterness; the sweetness is the butterscotch yeast

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Aug 11, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear gold body under a small fizzy white head that had excellent retention due to the vigorous visible carbonation. The nose forewarns of significant diacetyl with just the lightest hint of malt showing through. The flavor follows on that assessment. Big buttered popcorn from front to back with just a bit of toasted malt on the finish. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with a slick, almost oily, finish and moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, this was a very poorly executed bitter. I drainpoured the second half of the bottle. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden body with nice head. aroma is floral, buttery. Taste has a nasty bitterness to it, light diactyl - actually it attacks it pretty well. Really undrinkable.
