Bottle. Pours a clear golden body with nice head. aroma is floral, buttery. Taste has a nasty bitterness to it, light diactyl - actually it attacks it pretty well. Really undrinkable.

Bu au pub à Portland, Maine, en fut (20 oz). Version cask, rousse ruby, moyen collet. Arome de malte doux, fruits du vergés, un peu d’houblon. Goût de malte fruité, des sensations d’houblon doux et agréable.

Light straw color, super-filtered appearance - light bready aroma, with faint british hops, and some caramel - diacytl dominates the flavor (serious butterscotch, folks), which I guess is this ber trying to be "british," but even the brits know when enough is enough - slight mineral/hard water qualities at least make this not the only thing I taste - long, lingering buttery popcorn taste - man.

This is quite a drinkable beer, although probably not truly representative of its style. Light and easy to drink in this hot weather. It is slightly hoppy and only a tad "bitter". It has a pleasant maltiness that keeps the flavor and aroma light. Tastes very much like a lager, maybe an Octoberfest. In bottles it is a good session beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a thin light tan head and very little lacing. Aroma of caramel, toast and malt. More caramel in the flavor along with touches of milk chocolate, apple juice and toffee. Lightly carbonated and somewhat thin mouthfeel and a short hoppy finish with a slight metallic edge.

12 oz bottle. Clear amber with a light tan head. Earthy, rather sweet caramel nose, light floral hop notes. Sweet caramel flavors, slightly buttery, a bit toasty. sweet caramel finish with a small bite. Not bad.

Cloudy amber coloured body with orange tints and a thin white head. Aroma of fresh hops with some caramel malt tucked in. Medium-bodied; Strong english flavoured hops with some malt and toffee thrown in the mix. Aftertaste shows more hops and a lot of cardboard. Overall, a decent bitter - nothing horrible and nothing superb. I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 19-May-2007.
