emerica56 (497), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Aug 24, 2008 Pours a cloudy amber color with a thin off white head and the nose has some nice hints of flowers. The flavor is kind of bland and there is not much flavor. The finish is kind of watery and could use some more balance of hops and malt.
jimhilt (1469), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Nov 27, 2008 Pours a three-fingered cream head that quickly fades to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Light-medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Slight hoppy nose. Flavor is sweet honey that fades to a light bitter finish. $1.75 for a 12oz bottle from Barb’s Beer Emporium Concord, NH.
Drink4Satan (499), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Nov 19, 2008 Pours a clear copper colour with a medium creamy off-white head that fades to a thin film. No lacing. The nose is muted with lightly toasted bready malts with some overlaying perfume-like hops. The flavour is of fruity hops and plasticine bready malts. Some zesty citric notes poke through as well. The palate is thin, crisp and relatively long. The finish is a little metallic, as beers done in this style tend to be too often. rocbyter (692), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Oct 29, 2008 Mild malt with floral hops in the aroma. Hazy light orange color with a small white head. Sweet fruit malt taste with a light background of hops. fonefan (5547), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 20, 2008 Cask (gravity) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.
Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (070808) hopscotch (4679), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Sep 29, 2008 Bottle... Hazy amber ale with golden highlights and a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. Fruity, sweaty, beef stock aroma... a bad combination. Light to medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. A touch more bitter than their Original Pub Style... mildly tangy as well. Very lightly bitter finish.
