Bottle: Pours black with a frothy light tan head. Aroma, some plastic notes, and chocolate. Flavor, roasty, some fruits, dry, kinda watery, and way over carbonated. I have had heavier pilsners. Not a fan of stout-lite.

Bottle (12oz). Poured essentially black with a huge fluffy-foamy light brown lasting head. Pretty good aroma - dry baker’s chocolate, hint of roast coffee beans, dry slightly sharp yeast with a hint of lactic sourness. Taste is also very dry, a little cola-ish, but nice yeast, no alcohol presence, fairly quick finishing but a nice bitter light hop aftertaste. Slightly watery, but carbonation for days, mildly astringent. A little light and too much carbonation, but pretty decent.

Bottled. Nice dry roasty grain aroma, light bitter chocolate and a bit of coffee. Mild smoky notes, with dry hoppy nose. Mild soy tang. Dark brown-black clear with thin light-tan lacing head. Medium bodied with medium-heavy carbonation, carbonic gaseousness. Starts dry with mild acidic tang, heavy bitter burnt grain and light coffee-chocolate notes. A bit smoky. Very little sweetness, one of the drier dry stouts I’ve had in a while. Bitterness picks up at the finish, leaving you with quite a lasting bitter chalky presence on the back of the tongue. Best paired with food, and may be better with a little aging.

Thank you Coldbrewky/Steve for this black fly!! It is black indeed and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma is roasted with notes of licorice and the flavour has a roasted bitterness, a light sweetness, notes of licorice, coffee and hints of citrus. It’s rather light but yet with character, especially when I think of the rather low ABV! 2456

Pours a dark opaque brown colour with a light tan head. Notes of metallic (old pennies), smokey, and slight chocolate. Initial taste starts with sweet malt overlaying hints of chocolate. Finishing creamy. The body is medium with a very light and unlasting palate. Head was long lasting and slight lacing of the glass. Carbonation was matched perfectly.

Pours a five-fingered light tan rocky head that slowly fades to a thin layer leaving some lace. Solid black color. Light carbonation and heavy bodied. Burnt coffee nose. Flavor is burnt coffee/chocolate, slight dry finish. $1.50 for a 12 oz bottle from Capital Convenience Concord, NH.
