| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2006 Black pour with a huge head of cream and large bubbles. A very attractive stout. Aroma actually has a touch of sulfer to it. Maybes its the hops but the aroma is dried out and dusty. The flavor is a very dry roast. Very well carbonated and sharp on the tongue. Actually its quite harsh as it goes down. Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 14, 2006 Updated: Nov 15, 2006Bottle. Black with huge tan head, lasts. Roasted barley aroma. Flavor is malty but balanced. Pronounced fruitiness and hints of caramel and and fairly dry. On first taste I didn’t really care for this. Again with the second bottle the first sips weren’t great, but flavor improved. Overcarbonated. sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 29, 2006 12oz bottle, best before Nov 06. Pours black with an amazingly huge head. Now I’m not the most patient pourer in the world, but I can’t seem to pour this one into a small glass without over half of it being head! Quite funny actually. I don’t drink much stout, so take my review with a grain of malt. Aroma is fairly malty and leaves some of the head on my nose. Nice earthy flavour with some coffee-like aftertaste. Not bad.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 3, 2006 On tap @ Red Bones. Aroma is heavy malts and roasted chocolate. Taste is very roasty with a little coffee and bitterness. It’s almost a little sour. Way too much roast for me. hopdog (5630), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a dark, dark brown color with a huge, huge tan head. Aromas of strong roast, chocolate and light coffee. Tastes of roast, chocolate, with a bitter coffee / espresso finish. Thinner body. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 19, 2006 Just a marker for future reference - bottle marked best by January 2007. Opened with a bang and the cap went flying across the room. Uh-oh. Pours with an insane head that takes five minutes to settle. Aroma is sour and full of CO2. Body is sour as well. Infected bottles going around. Need to try again. For now it gets 2.5 until I can find another bottle. IrishBoy (2730), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 19, 2006 Bottle from Porterhouse; Nose of toasty coffee and chocolate; Transparent dark walnut color with a thick, long-lasting tan head; flavor coffee and hop bitterness, which lasts well into the finish. Body a little weak but pretty good for a low alcohol stout! thornecb (1819), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
