Very dark brown. Nutty, cocoa-ish aroma. Palate is dryish, with notes of almonds, cocoa and cherry lozenges. It works ok.

Thank you Coldbrewky/Steve for this black fly!! It is black indeed and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma is roasted with notes of licorice and the flavour has a roasted bitterness, a light sweetness, notes of licorice, coffee and hints of citrus. It’s rather light but yet with character, especially when I think of the rather low ABV! 2456

12oz bottle. Bottle marked best before May ’06 (and I just bought it). Poured a dark, dark brown color with a huge, huge tan head. Aromas of strong roast, chocolate and light coffee. Tastes of roast, chocolate, with a bitter coffee / espresso finish. Thinner body.

(Draught) Pours a dark mahogany body with a moderate creamy tan head. Aroma of light sourness, cocoa, nuts, and roastiness. Flavor of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel with a dry mouthfeel and moderate bitterness in the finish.
