Dec 10, 2007 12oz bottle. Bottle labeled best before N 08. Poured a deep ruby / orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, caramel, some graininess, and toffee. Tastes of pretty much the same.

May 10, 2008 Pours a transparent copper amber with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel malt and some piny English hops. Body starts with light caramel malty sweetness, a touch of light fruits and some earthy bittering hops before a slightly citrusy bittersweet finish. An ok ESB.

Apr 12, 2009 Deep amber/light brown beer with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma is heavily toasty with a lot of crackery character. Light molasses and a touch of lean malts as well. Nutty with a bit of herbal hoppiness. There is a touch of brown sugar and coffee on the back. Soft lingering hoppy finish. Pretty solid really.

Poured clear brown color with a large frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted caramel malt aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium spicy sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Solid drinkable holiday beer.
