Taste is light, sweet, malty with light butterscotch, lactose in aftertaste and very light coffee notes.

Sep 20, 2008 bottle: pours a beautiful orange amber with a small tan head. aroma is very malty lots of grains some toasted bread and a small sweetness, good nuttiness too as it warms. flavour is a rich malt good breadiness adn plety of grains mice amount of earth like spice, very nice.

Sep 12, 2008 Pours an amber color with a red tint and has a nice thin head with minimal streaks along the sides of the glass. The nose is a bit bland with some hints of spice but nothing potent. The flavor is nice and bitter with some mild toasted malt and hints of spice mainly clove but it is very mild. Overall it is a nice refreshing fall beer with a great palate feel and carbonation.

Sep 2, 2008 Updated: Sep 3, 2008A visit to the State of Maine gave me the opportunity to try a few local beers, most of which were pretty good - like this one. I like the label and the concept of a Halloween ale. it is a nice, hoppy brew. The style was hard to figure out - it seemed like a marzen to me. The flavor is bready and enjoyable.

Aug 25, 2008 This beer is great. Greatly hopped but not overpowering. Many flavors to taste. This will make a very nice brew on a chilly october new england afternoon
