doublea (7), , California, USA does not count Nov 2, 2008 Reddish brown, leaning more towards brown. Lacy, light head. Light hops, caramel and maybe some citrus in aroma.
Tastes better as it warms up, but still not anything special. Balanced earthy tones, malt and light hops. Eh. It’s OK. Maybe what botters me is the light body. dogfish120love (112), west hartford, Connecticut, USA Oct 31, 2008 Pours a clear redidish brown with a thin to non existant headSmells of malt, hops, and sweet caramel. Very malty with a distinct hop bitterness. Not bad at all. cakanator (40), Northampton, Massachusetts, USA Oct 27, 2008 One of my favorite fall beers. Malty but not over done, slightly sweet and makes me think of fall. It’s not spiced enough to be a pumpkin but not a marzen either. Damn good though. mrant (265), New York, USA Oct 23, 2008 Smells lightly of bitter and sour hops with a strong malt nose. Taste is well-balanced bitter hops with plenty of malt. A very enjoyable beer, but I don’t get why this is a Halloween beer. NJBeerman013 (623), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottle.. Pours a orangish copper in color with a somewhat of a raw pumpking aroma. The flavor is a bit more interesting with a bit more malt to sweeten things up. It has a medium body and sweet slightly alccoholy finish.
