dlovell2 (112), Columbia, Maryland, USA Aug 16, 2008 Updated: Aug 26, 2008I want to start off by saying how much I love Grittys! This was a good beer. Copper color. Grapefruit aroma. A little bit of caramel start with grassy notes and grapefruit finish. Order the fried haddock sandwich rolled in barley to go with this beer. BeerFanDan17 (415), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 21, 2008 Updated: Jul 30, 2008Nice and hoppy. Very crisp and if I recall a nice ABV. Sampled at the St. Pete Florida Craft Beer Fest. Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 14, 2007 Cask at GBBF 2007. A dark amber beer with a thin dark beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, hops, and elder flowers. The flavor is very sweet and malty, combined with notes of caramel, hops, grass, and grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter finish. Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 8, 2007 On tap at Gritty’s in Portland, Maine--Poured a copper=bronze body with a small white head. Buttery English diacytol notes. Not very hoppy for an American IPA. Quite boring and unfinishable.
