bochi23 (90), USA Aug 19, 2009 MMMMmmm malty goodness. Gritty’s makes some nice beers and this one is certainly one of my favorites. Sure, maybe not strong flavor and a bit watery but I like it! If you get the chance, try one on tap at Gritty’s in ME! oteyj (713), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Aug 7, 2009 Reddish brown pout with sudsy white head. Aroma is reminiscent of V8 juice with a definite fruity cream character. Flavor is caramel with a toasty biscuit like malt profile. Palate is horridly thin, ending slippery and very clean. Not overly impressed. Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Jun 26, 2009 Pours brown with a thin tan head. Smells of sweet malt and earthy. Tastes of vegetables, sweet malt, earthy. bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 6, 2009 worst brown ale ever, with out question.
Watery, weak, and just plain bad! darn1207 (528), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Mar 18, 2009 12oz bottle from world of beer tampa. amber brown pour with a small tan head. nutty caramel malt aroma. sugary malt tastes with a yeasty vibe throughout. thin palate. lingering metallic bite. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 16, 2009 12oz bottle-pours a disappearing light tan head and copper color. Aroma is toffee-medium malt, some peat, a sharpness-fruity yeast, some cocoa (detractor). Taste is watery malt, husky, then tonic water, herbal/medicinal, the aroma was mostly nice with one detractor, the taste was mostly detractors. Thanks jwc215 for picking this out. BroSpud (583), , Massachusetts, USA Feb 15, 2009 On tap at the Freeport brewpub. Like most of the beers at Gritty’s this one is good though nothing spectacular. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Jan 11, 2009 Slightly hazy brown coloured body with a light tan head anda a ruby coloured tint. Aroma of malt, light hops, peanuts, toffee and some mild spices. Light to Medium-bodied; Malty taste up front with some mild hop tastes followed by a strong amount of peanuts and some toffee flavours. Aftertaste is very mild - no strong tastes at all...some peanuts, malt and a light sweetness, that’s all. Overall, a decent beer - not a style I like and not very strong in it...so it’s not too bad. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 08-April-2006 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
