| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 30, 2008 (Bottle). Sweet malty and caramel aroma. Medium brown color, with a small head that lasts a while. Flavor attempts to be malty and caramel/toffee, but succeeds only imperfectly. Something is out of balance. Slightly unpleasant finish. urnamesucks (92), New York City, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Was vacationing in Maine and bumped into Gritty’s. Excellent straight from the tap, but not as good from the bottles. DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Light tasting, light bodied brown from Maine’s very own Gritty’s. A brown ale for novice brownie drinkers. Nothing to write home about. nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 29, 2008 The aroma is papery with malt, chocolate, caramel, and a hint of hops. The appearance is light brown with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. The beer is very plain with nothing to it. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 16, 2008 En fût. (Rating #1802) Palidor19 (1773), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Another Gritty’s with that distinct malty taste. For a brown this one is a bit light and the head is gone in a flash. A light carmel taste but a watery feeling keeps coming through on the palate. OK, but not great. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 12, 2008 12 oz bottle. Clear golden brown (kinda light) with a thin off white head that disappears quicker that it appeared. Rather sweet, malty nose, milk caramel and light toffee with some sweet nuttiness. Flavor is more of the same, plus a seltzer like quality. Weak body. Finish like a mild nut soda. Whatever.
