12 oz bottle. Clear golden brown (kinda light) with a thin off white head that disappears quicker that it appeared. Rather sweet, malty nose, milk caramel and light toffee with some sweet nuttiness. Flavor is more of the same, plus a seltzer like quality. Weak body. Finish like a mild nut soda. Whatever.

dissappointed in this beer. Dark Copper color but not much for hop flavor or aroma. Much too highly carbonated and rather than smooth i would say weak overall.

Pint on tap at the brewpub in Portland Maine. Clear brown color with small off white head and minimal lacing. Nose was mild caramel, malt with a slight hop background. Flavor was same as nose. Another brew from a college/tourist town that is designed to be interesting to people that normally drink swill. It wasn’t bad mind you, but bland and uninspiring.

I think that this is the right page. This is a pretty good beer! And I wasn’t sure what to expect from a brewery call Gritty McDuffs. It has a nice hoppy flavor that makes it nice and smooth. What a good brown ale. I’m going to have to try out some other ones from Mr McDuffs.

Jan. 24, 2008; 22 oz. bomber. Inoffensive brown ale with sweet aroma and quite hoppy profile. Certainly better than the 25-percentile rating found here.

On tap at McGregor’s. Hops in aroma and the flavor. Alittle too hoppy for my taste. It was ok though.

Amber color, nice head, lacing and overall appearance. Palate is malty, hoppy and good. Nothing special about this stuff, but very drinkable.

My friend Matt brought this one to me after a trip to Maine. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a beautiful ruby-caramel color with a medium sized khaki head. The aroma was lightly sweet and malty but rather faint. The flavor was lightly tangy and bitter with only a hint of roastiness and a sour tangy finish. The body was thin and watery. Rather bland.
