Bottle. Amber brown, medium head. Aroma of crystal malt. Malty caramel taste with a nutty, maybe hazelnut, flavor. I like this beer.

Small, quickly depleting head, brownish body. Smell hints at a bit of honey or maple maybe? Taste does too. A bit sweet with just a hint of bitter in aftertaste, not too strong tasting. Delicious. I’m not an ale guy, but I’m rather impressed.

This beer is much more deserving of a higher rating. Dark brown color, small off white head. Nutty, malty, and sugary taste. Finishes smooth and tatseful. I suspect reviews similar to "davidCC" below is what’s hampering this beer. Pretty much if you like bud light, you shouldn’t be reviewing beer that’s not rice based. Despite the others this is a good solid brown. I’ll defend it for sure, go try this and see for yourself it’s better than it’s rating!

A full nutty aroma. A very dark amber with a very nice medium white head. Tastes not to strong but lightly of nuts and coffee. Creamy light body, with very little bitterness.

Was vacationing in Maine and bumped into Gritty’s. Excellent straight from the tap, but not as good from the bottles.
