Not much to enjoy about it, even when sitting in the brew pub. Lacking flavor and any real amusement, just an average ale...get another one of their beers and enjoy those instead! da845 (139), new york, New York, USA

Slightly hazy body, and fair lacing. Fruity aroma with a hint of banana, champagne, and flowery hops. Initial taste is smooth and acidic, then bitter at the finish. Dry and carbonated on the mouth. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 5, 2006 Any first impressions?
-The frothy head recedes rather quickly onto the clear golden-bronze alloy.
-Earthy, floral, and vaguely citrusy hops are pierced by a subtle, pea-like, DMS deformation.
-Mouthfeel is dominated by the important, fluffy carbonation.
-Wooden hop flavors complacently approach a haystack.
What if you dig deeper?
-Flowery orange zest slowly takes over the feeble flavor display.
-Herbal hops tickle in an almost absent back bitterness.
-Aroma becomes muddled and shapeless after a while.
-It eminently remains drinkable, just not flavorful.

Not bad tasting. A little bitter, somewhat hopsy. Not bad, but not really my thing. Love the brewer though
Re-rate - 9-30-06
Amber body with a quarter inch thick head. Smells malty and somewhat piney. Malt is present, bitter and citrus hop flavor is prominent. Not as full flavored or complex as some Gritty’s beers. Light to medium body with a fair bit of carbonation but not overpowering or prickly. A little more bitter than I usually drink, but a nonetheless pleasant drinkable beer. Similar in some ways to their Sebago Light Ale, so it’s not the best Gritty’s but is still good. Try thier Best Bitter. I just found out that this is contract brewed by Shipyard and boy does it ever show... jerc (3950), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 7, 2005 Draft @ Gritty’s. Copper body, little or no head. Muted, fruity, first impression of the flavour is grape kool aid artificiality. Mild Bitterness. Nick figures its stale and I am inclined to believe him. Average to thin palate.Odd. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Pours copper with a creamy head. Smells of yogurt and citrus. Taste is light on the hops (this is supposed to be an APA???) and bland. Another boring offering from this brewer.
