Pour a medium orange with little to no head. Aroma of ripening grapes and lot of yeast. Chewy flavor that has some nutty notes, a bit of caramel and some home brew funkiness. Some orange marmalade makes its way into the back end with some spicy notes as well. Slightly odd. thickish mouthfeel. Palidor19 (1785), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 14, 2008 On draft at the Mellow Mushroom...poured light amber with a reddish tint. The beer had a white head that left some soapy lacing. Aromas of vanilla cream (like a cream ale), flowers, dough. The flavor was actually a little different. There were some mild citrus flavors, followed by some bitterness, and a slight malty sweetness. The palate was light bodied, slightly bitter on the back, nice quick finish. Great session brew! bruno1378 (121), Epping, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Bottle - never seen Gritty McDuff’s before, but I was intrigued by the name. However, this was nothing special. Better than a Bud, and I’d probably try some of their other stuff, but don’t think I’d look for this one again. Bungalo22 (326), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA

It is a light bodied ale with a slight hint of hops and malts. Tastes much better out of a prope glass. Had in the bottle too and it was not as nice. I enjoyed this as a drinker.
