Its an attempt at an English session beer that falls flat on its face. I had this cask conditioned at the Old Port location. Nothing to write home about. jhliesen (405), West Melbourne, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Bottle---Hmmmm, guess I liked this better than most folks. It does remind me of a british pub ale, not a great, but an average one. Still, it make for a drinkable beer during a meal and conversation and makes me long for those evenings in a local pub. The pour was a dull copper color, with a tiny head. Nice, but not overwhelming smell of biscuit and malts. The taste included some citris with a bitter finish. The taste hit you right in the back of the upper mouth, just like a pub ale. Produce Place. dalepryor (172), Paducah, Kentucky, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 13, 2008 i picked this up out of curiosity because i had never seen this brand at my local beer store, unfortunately this beer is very unappealing. the smell, and taste is just lacking everything you could want from a microbrew. this is a boring beer, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for flavor kassner (455), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2008 On draft. I thought quite sweet for the style, light copper in color and a little earthy, with a hint of dirt. carbonation was OK. I did not detect a lot of hops
Also had this Cask ans as expected smoother and now a more medicinal hint mcox90 (636), Wilton, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 4, 2008 Pint on tap at brewpub in Portland Maine. Plain amber color with a small white head w/o lacing. Mild hop nose with some hint of malt. Mouthfeel was average and boring. Speaking of boring, the flavor here was pretty uninspired, Some light hops with hints of malt, caramel & honey. A brew designed to appeal to the masses of college students and tourists that inhabit Portland. SwillNoMore (105), USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Bottle from Duvel tulip @ cellar temp. Best by Apr 08. Hazy orange, big bubbly off-white head fades away; leaves no lacing to speak of. Smells of grassy hops, apricots. Light body, sharp carbonation. Citrus flavor, notable hop dryness and bitter finish. Crisp and refreshing but not very exciting. alexanderj (2252), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Bottle; poured a clear, burnt orange with a white head. Aroma of sweet biscuit and caramel malt with some floral and honey hints. Agree with the previous raterl flavor was almost sorghum like. Pretty much a total mess. Palate was harsh and a bit metallic. Barely finished half of it. mrant (330), New York, USA
