| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Bottle: Pours a clear dark golden with a thin, spotty white head. Big, earthy floral bitter English hoppy aroma has a hint of pale maltiness. Body starts very dry, and bitter with big earthy, grassy hoppy character toward a similar finish. Could use a little more sweetness for balance. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells breaddy with some mild hop notes. Taste of caramel and some bittering hops but otherwise watery and disappointing. JoeMcPhee (5010), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pale amber beer with an off-white head. Soft pale malt aroma with some light earthiness. A little bit doughy and lightly tobaccoish. Soft soft citric bitterness on the back. A nice simple golden ale. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 27, 2005 May 2005, on draught at Gritty McDuffs (Portland) with the spastic and fantastic ClarkVV. Very light amber, clear with no head to worry about...clean, sweet honey and a touch of lemon in the nose...light but reasonable body, very weak on the malt but with a noticeable albeit subdued piney hop presence...watery. Basically, nothing. Braudog (3770), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 14, 2007 Bottle: Orange-yellow brew with a big cauldron on top. Highly carbonated. Aroma is sweet-bready, lightly citrusy. The drink is even more bready, even vaguely yeasty, with a big cookie dough aspect and a tight finish at the end. I really like beers like this, although clearly they are not popular amongst the Ratebeer masses ... anything vaguely yellowy is at a disadvantage here. (#3203, 11/14/2007)
