Red - amber brew with a small, light tan head with a bit of spotty lacing. The aroma comes across with sweet nectarine, peaches biscuit and a bit of annoying citrus. The taste is weak caramel, lots of citrus & herbal hops, sort of orange, a bit of sour lemon.... 7-UP. It’s not super creamy to my mouth as I wanted, finished with lots of herbal bitterness that lingers. fiulijn (7420), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

On est pas sorti de l’auberge: some dry caramel flavor; in other words, the caramel differentiates it from the Pilsner, but less than the Elk Red, and equally useless. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Clear deep copper amber, moderate cream-coloured head. Caramel and faint fruit aroma (pears?). Caramel malt flavour dominates, again with a faintly fruity quality, but with a surprising little hop kick in the finish that brings a bock character to mind. Nice.
