Looks like a golden lager with lively carbonation, fine head and fine lacing. Smells and tastes a bit medical, and the alcohol is numbing the tongue. Like a lager spiked with vodka. They could have brewed this for full flavour rather than just alcohol percentage.
This is like the Fisherman’s Friend commercials, they are fun just once. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden

Very sweet with hard mouthfeel covered in cloying syrup. Sugary and unrefined. Molasses and syrup hides the alcohol well, but the flavour pays a dear prize. Definitely not good. Clear copper color, much limpid one and deprives of fizz. Sugary and sweetish aroma, mighty alcoholic with stum and grappa notes. Indefensible taste; indeed excessive, much smooth, mushy, full of flavor and of great impact. Maybe I’m too much refined. FrankJohansen (3386), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Golden with a nice head and the aroma is inviting with notes of hops, fruit and caramel. The flavour is sweetish with nice notes of hops, fruit, caramel and a slightly bitter finish. It’s a nicely balanced beer, that is much nicer than others in this category. I’m definitely not a malt liquor fan. I could not escape the strong alcohol flavor but I imagine that is the point of this Grolsch offering. Not something I would buy again. sayravai (3781), Helsinki, Finland
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 21, 2006 (Bottled) Clear golden color with a small head. Grainy-malty, slightly honeyish aroma with diacetyl and quite an alcoholic feel. Very grainy-malty flavor with moderately burning alcohol, and a honey-fruity feel. Medium to full-bodied palate with low carbonation and a burning alcohol, which sticks to the mouth for long. Definitely not among the worst malt liquours out there, but still it serves only a single purpose: getting drunk really fast and cheap.
