maupie (539), Roosendaal, Netherlands Jul 8, 2005 This beer has a yellow body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is light bitter with a light sweet afther tast. MrManning (1458), London, Ontario, Canada Nov 6, 2007 LCBO can tasting- Pours very faint yellow with a nice sized frothy white foam with good lace. Fresh grassy aroma, with some leafy greens, hops, and a touch of yeast. Sweet, maybe a little grainy, cookie, with a good dose of fresh hops. Tastes more like a pils than regular grolsch. Very crisp, tight finish. Lots of sweet flavours in the aftertaste. I prefer this over the regular grolsch by a landslide. robinvboyer (1071), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jan 23, 2008 pale straw yellow. small white head. grainy aroma, some slight hops, and a touch of maltiness. Flavour is quite light, almost wattery, but very crisp. Finish is also crisp, and leaves a slight lingering bitterness. THe carbonation is soft, i prefer my beers a bit more lively. Overall, this ain’t half bad. A decent quench beer. roder60 (885), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 17, 2007 Very pale clear yellow - one of the clearest beers ive seen. Crisp grassy aroma. Flavor is very light and crisp, slight lemony flavor, bit of grass, slight hop finish. Overall - very light and refreshing if that is what you are going for. I was in the mood for something like this so i felt it was pretty decent. Boutip (1855), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jun 18, 2008 Can: Poured a deep golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with great retention and surprisingly some great lacing. Aroma of light sweet malt is quite bland. Taste is also very bland and boring with some limited malt presence discernable. Refreshing with no distinguishable adjunct or any other defect but too bland to be truly inetersting.
