BBB63 (3767), La Porte, Indiana, USA Apr 30, 2008 The classic flip-top bottle and served in a pint glass: Light golden straw hue with a fading fizzy head and spotty lace. The aroma has mild grassy noble hops, hint of cereal and husky malts, moderate DMS and adjunct, and some mineral water. The taste is mild bitterness and some acidity over a blanket of spent grains with some veggie twang towards the finish. At least this has some semblance of flavor versus what I just subjected my taste buds to. The mouth feel is sprite and refreshing but there is a chalky and metallic character about the aftertaste. Well, at least I can finish this bottle but once again another memory of youth ruined. Proves you can never go back to swilling days once you have trained your palate for something better.
tomer (162), Israel Aug 19, 2008 0.33L bottle, small thin but stable head, deep gold colour. Very faint nose, some traces of grass and herbs are the only noticeble traits. taste of malt and vanila with some sweetness and a strong bitterness which suprisingly lasts for quite a while. body is also surisingly full for a lager, making it a Good beer with food like the anchovy pasta i ate with it. MaltDawg (287), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 18, 2008 12 oz green bottle from local grocery store. Labeled "Premium Lager". Light pale malt aroma with touch of noble hops. Clear golden with moderate white head that collapsed quickly. Sweet pale malt and honey malt flavor with touch of graininess and moderate hop bitterness. Finish is dry and moderately bitter. Pretty good. Steinface (63), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 14, 2008 I’d rather drink piels, which is less than half the price of this. It was as if they based the taste after battery acid. I wouldn’t be so disappointed if it was cheaper, definitely not worth the extra cash. ProBeerDrinker (12), , Florida, USA Aug 9, 2008 Not a bad beer. Seems to leave an after taste but it very drinkable. After 8 or 10 of them it’s time to change up beers. AndrewKScott (319), Lemont, Illinois, USA Jul 31, 2008 You know, if they spent as much time/ money on the beer as they did on the bottle, this would be a good beer. But they don’t, and it doesn’t really taste of anything but skunk. Pretty expensive and not worth it.
