sayravai (3224), Helsinki, Finland Sep 29, 2008 (Bottled) Hazy amber with a largeish, firm and lacy head. Slightly vegetably and alcoholic aroma of caramely, lightly roasted malt. Caramely-vegetably malt also in the flavor with hits of dried fruit and herbal hops. Some alcohol burn in the finish. Medium body with soft and foamy carbonation. Slightly dull and vegetably, but quite ok for a bock. Gets marginally smoother with yeast.
jbrus (4306), Delft, Netherlands Jan 28, 2008 Bottle@Home. Very German aroma, toffee, malts, light herbal. Dark amber color, beige head, good lace. Very sweet, caramel malts, light herbal flavor, full. Bit too sweet and too clean but ok. TBone (5172), Pori, Finland Dec 29, 2007 Bottled (BB 09/2009)
Amber color, good cloudy white head, some lace. Herbal, flowery (marigold or something like that), brown sugar aroma. Flavor is also herbal with some fruity and toasted notes, in the aftertaste quite strong hoppy bitterness. A bit too watery overall, otherwise fairly balanced bock. oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Dec 29, 2007 Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is riped fruits, sweet malts and some mild alcohol. Flavour is mild malts, hops and some grass. A quite lameflavoured beer. HermanW (515), Coevorden, Netherlands Dec 22, 2007 Een herfstbock waar ik meer van had verwacht. Weinig smaak en had iets zoeter gekund.
