JorisPPattyn (4642), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 13, 2006 Dark ruby-brown beer with yellowish, very abundant foam, persistent and leaving lace. Smoked nose, nutty (capsulae), bit of tobacco and - yes! - incense. Again a bit smokey and nutty, but generally pretty watery for its strength. Again, I suspect the use of adjunct sugars, that have been fermented out completely. A bit stout-like, but pulling in several directions at once. Licorice retronasal. A said, watery and thinnish for this kind of beer. By far the best of the Kruisheren range. Still, I would like to know who really brews this, where, and why all the secrecy?
