JensenTaster (1486), Denmark Jul 9, 2008 (on bottle) Dark amber color, white head. A very mild and drinkable märzen, lmost no hoppy marks at all; all just mellow and sweet malts here. Light carbonated and very light mouthfeel. Caramels and barley all the way through.
MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Oct 12, 2008 (swing top bottle, 5.3%) Clear, mahogany colour with a thick light-beige foamy head. Slightly-sweet and and toasted malty nose with a touch of caramel, raisins and a light woody hoppy note, which seems to be typical for the Grosch brewery. Slightly roasty and hop-bitter flavour, toasted malty taste with caramel and subtle fruity accents of raisins; rather dry and toasty finish with a moderate woody hoppy touch. Nice and mild Dunkel (10.X.08). jfb (129), Freising, Germany Sep 14, 2008 (bottle) dark ruby-red colour, lightly tanned head. aroma of strong roasted malts, hazelnut, grain, bread, light herbal hops. flavour has the same components as the aroma, with dominant notes of roasted malts and grain. smooth carbonation, medium body, light roasted-bitter finish.
