Bottle, 5.5%. Nice, clear dark brown colour. Stable light brown head. Nice malty flavour, slightly roasted at first. A little butter/cream flavour. Quite good.

Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Clear, brown body (caramelish coloured). Off-white, creamy head. Faint malty aroma. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Somewhat watery.

Düsseldorf Gathering, Bottled. Very nice surprise and quality brew. Caramel and German hops in the aroma of course. Brown color, beige fine looking head, good lace. Maltsweet, light roasted, chocolater, herbal. Full, well balanced and more complex than most Dunkels.

(bottle, with many thanks to Saarlander) Clear, dark amber colour with a beautiful and persistent foamy beige head. Slightly sweet and toasty malt aroma with a touch of cacao and a rural barnyard note. Sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty, slightly toasty taste with light notes of cacao; dry, malty and slightly bitter finish. Pretty rounded and likeable brew.

Metallic nose, deep dark brown color, foamy beige head. Sweet toasted malt base with a dry nutty end. Medium body, clean palate. Good, but not so thrilling overall.
