Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Somewhat watery. jbrus (4306), Delft, Netherlands Jan 7, 2007 Düsseldorf Gathering, Bottled. Very nice surprise and quality brew. Caramel and German hops in the aroma of course. Brown color, beige fine looking head, good lace. Maltsweet, light roasted, chocolater, herbal. Full, well balanced and more complex than most Dunkels. MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Dec 26, 2006 (bottle, with many thanks to Saarlander) Clear, dark amber colour with a beautiful and persistent foamy beige head. Slightly sweet and toasty malt aroma with a touch of cacao and a rural barnyard note. Sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty, slightly toasty taste with light notes of cacao; dry, malty and slightly bitter finish. Pretty rounded and likeable brew. pivo (2488), Germany Apr 13, 2006 Metallic nose, deep dark brown color, foamy beige head. Sweet toasted malt base with a dry nutty end. Medium body, clean palate. Good, but not so thrilling overall.
