Cloudy red brown in color... Yeasty malty aroma... Flavor is sweet and citrusy initially over a malty base, yeasty finish characteristic of a Belgian, very crisp and refreshing for a brown, kind of a fusion between a brown ale and a trippel... Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, aroma contains plums and cherries. Tastes sweet, more fruit like apples. Good hop balance to the fruitiness, hints of oak. Decent but nothing to shout about.

Drank a Brouhaha (Montreal) in 330 ml bottle, December 19, 2009. Caramel dark brown, no head. Aroma of sweet spicy caramel malt, with a touch of red fruits. Taste of malted caramel tobacco, notes of dried berries and an aftertaste of bitter herbs. Aged in the caves, strange but it works for this beer!

Bottle from Ohtsuki. Rather pretty orange-brown color with an enormous head. Complex aroma with dark fruit and chocolate from afar, yet dusty, slightly funky, spicy from close up. Mellow caramel and fruit flavor, again with some dusty, vegetal funk too. Chocolate and spice. Caramel malt flavors got deeper as it warmed. Slight bitterness in the finish. Nice beer.

Not a bad little dubbel. Nose is sweet and slightly spicey. In the mouth it is smooth with a medium body. A bit of nut and chocolate in the the finish.

Bottle. Pours amber brown with a fizzy off-white head that left lots of floties. Aroma was malty and yeasty with light fruit. Flavor was malty and fruity with caramel, yeast, brown sugar, spices and had a bitter and dry finish.

Bottle. It started quite sour, light foul, later it gets maltier and smells more like bread. The creamy light beige head is medium large with a normal duration. The body is dark brown. It tasted like wine (red wine), quite malty. The body is creamy, dry and lively at the same time, it is medium strong with a lively carbonation.

Pours as an opaque light brown with plenty of lacy and rich foam. Great flavor of sweet fruit with a sweet bread and cookie element that make for a very enjoyable drink.
