Rich caramel color with a nice tan head and tons of lacing. Aroma is malty sweet. Taste changes almost with every taste. Flavors of apple, cherry, chocolate and grape peel are dancing on your tongue. I’d recommend aging this for at least a year. Schultsc (483), Henderson, Nevada, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 21, 2005 A touch of tartness rides over an underlying dark herbaceousness. Mild hops and malt in the aroma with a slight suggestion of eucalyptus. Amazingly well-rounded in all aspects. FrkAabenhuus (147), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2005 Amber-brown body with a silky off-white head. Some funky barnyard, leather, furniture polish, and nice malt qualities. Has an element that reminds me of Orval. Interesting tartness and yeasty flavor. Considerably bitter finish. This beer is complex, nice, and unique.

I’m not sure where this came from, the label is very much not in english. however, i don’t care much, because this is an awesome brew. aroma is a little belgian funk, some bread and figs. body is medium/light, belying the medium brown color. flavor is mellow, nuts and malt, with an incredibly crisp finish for such a malty brown beer. this is simply great. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2005 bottle-pours a murky turbid brown hue with a small off-white head. big spicy flavors-ginger, brett, and slight horseblanket funk. fizzy body, but thats ok for this style of beer and becomes more refreshing as it goes down. a little mineral characteristic in the finish. not bad!
