muddy brown, fine tan, head, enough carbonation to push the cork out while sitting on the table, spicy malt aroma, rich malt flavor, earthy moldy aftertaste, well carbonated, good, but not enough complexity,

solid brown, frothy tan head, musky malt aroma, slightly thin body, fruity malt flavor, touch of sweetness, nice complexity but the thin body still leaves you wanting more, the musky cave aged character keeps getting stronger and really defines this beer, although lacking as a dark Belgian, it has enough of it’s own character to make it worthwhile

still not quite the depth of the draft version, but does grow on you like mold in a dark dank cave

Chrism86 (57), Melbourne, Australia Aug 29, 2008 Pours a dull, deep ruby tending to auburn with a substantial but rather loosely packed off white head. Aromas are dominated by honey and caramel with obvious banana and hinting raisins. Palate seems alot more reserved. Caramel/toffee seem to accompany sweet malt with yeasty banana characters coming through. Finish is rather malty with subtleties of liquered raisins. Ober (289), Best, Netherlands Aug 20, 2008 A hazy red/brown colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. It leaves a nice lace on the glass. he aroma a dark fruits, sweets and caramel malts. the taste is a little spicey, fruits, a little cherry and prune. Very little aftertaste. french tickler (477), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Aug 17, 2008 Shared with Pyrozoid - Drank @ l’autre oeil
