(Bottled, Nth re-rate) Nice, very hazy dark brown color with a medium, tight, beige head. Sourish, yeasty aroma with cherry, pineapple and banana. Dryish and slightly sour, malty and spicy flavor with banana and a christmasy-spicy ginseng/anise/licorice finish. Medium-bodied, high- but smooth-carbonated and oily palate. A nicely balanced and smooth, very easily drinkable, yet quite complex - and not at all sweet dubbel. Another quality brew from St. Bernardus.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of figs, plums, yeast, and malts. Poured medium brown/dark amber in color with a medium-sized tan head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Full of small particles. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malts, spices, yeast, alcohol, and dried fruits. Medium body. Average texture. Lively carbonation. Yeasty, dark fruit finish is dry.

On tap. Pours a dark brown, with an off white head. Nice dark fruit flavor, fairly sweet, some grain and chocolate. Well balanced, sweet. Decent beer.
