| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2008 VRBT, not what I was expecting. I see Flemish ale, and I expect Flemish sour. This was golden. Aroma and flavors basically matched, with slight undefined hoppiness, bready malts, and a bit sweaty. Not bad, but not spectacular either. Glad to try it though. marcus (1904), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2008 This hazy golden ale poured with a decent white head and a musty aroma. The flavor is caramel malt with lots of spice, predominately coriander, leaving a yeasty taste on the palate. fonefan (11890), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2008 Pours a light cloudy amber with a thin but very persistent head. In fact, the off-white head is one of the high points of this beer. The flavor starts sweet and finishes just sour, with a hint of bitter in the aftertaste. Good aroma, simple but decent flavor with enough complexity to make it worth while. Not as good as Grotten’s other offerings, though. durhambeer (1242), Durham, USA

A little bit of earthy funk, yeast and lemon. Cloves. Solid beer but not amazing. Would like to taste more fully. faroeviking (6130), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2008 750 ml (yellow label). Great looking beer poured into a New Belgium goblet. Big, puffy white head on a gold body. Spicy peppery aroma with marshmallow and sweet cloves. Delectable. Light lemon and subtle brett mingles well with the soft pale malts. I can see this beer working well with a lot of different foods but spicy thai shrimp comes to mind.
