Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 20, 2007 Very pale greenish-yellow...not at all like something made from apples...which doesn’t surprise me. Snappy apple aroma. Has a simplistic apple taste. The lightly alcoholic finish hints at dryness. Tolerable for a macro cider. JoeMcPhee (3899), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Apr 23, 2004 Very pale colour, no lasting head, although with cider not surprising. I'm not really sure what it's supposed to look like since this is my first cider since I was in undergrad. Great acidic apple/pear aroma. Flavour is like biting into a fresh apple. Nice crispness and not sweet. No real finish, although as I recall it, these don't ever really have one. Very good, I think I'll have to start drinking more cider. CapFlu (3353), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Apr 19, 2007 (Bottle) CW3 gathering in Victoria. Purchased at the BCLS Fort Street. Clear yellow tinge with no carbonation. Another 7% Grower bubbly. Mmm... dry MacIntosh apples. Watery, thin appley flavour with a white wine finish. pintbypint (883), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 14, 2008 341ml green bottle. Very pale yellow in colour, no head. Aroma is winey alcohol with a trace of apple. Light apple taste, slight alcohol and generic white wine notes. Dry finish. Not impressive. dirkules (611), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 16, 2004 Always in the 2L bottles. The apple cider is the one I like best from Growers. It’s a pale, carbonated and refreshing drink. A touch acidic... but as are all the growers brands, it lays it on the side of the fruit. Not bad at all! Better than strongbow
