pintbypint (879), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada May 27, 2008 341ml green bottle. Light straw colour, no head, a lot of carbonation bubbles rapidly rising to the surface. Sweet apple flesh aroma, a little dusty. Green apple skin flavour with a touch of cotton candy sweetness. Dryish end with faint tartness. Effervescent with a light body.
robinvboyer (1047), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Mar 3, 2008 I"ve had this before! i didnt even know it was on the website, i thought everything from Growers was alcopop crap. Well i recall this being quite sweet, and VERY boozy, not very enjoyable. I think i gave the rest of them away. basically apple juice with booze, yum! HogTownHarry (3267), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Mar 1, 2008 Bottle (341ml, green). From the awesome randomness that IS the LCBO singles bin. Almost clear pale yellow with an initial loud fizz of white head that goes away immediately - after 10 seconds I have a glassful of watery-looking pee in front of me. Initially, on opening, this smells horrid - oxidized apples and sugar, but after 30 seconds, and on closer sniff it’s not that bad after all - like a granny smith vodka cooler, not harsh, spoilt or boozy. The taste, however - like apple cores tossed into a blender with some sugar cubes, newsprint and grain alcohol - harsh and overly sweet. Too-sharp mouthfeel, long boozy ugly aftertaste - no thank you. matt7215 (578), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Oct 28, 2007 341 ml bottle. pours almost clear with no head. just granny smith aromas and flavours. drinkable but why would you have this instead of a real beer? i wont jaradthescot (5), London, Ontario, Canada does not count Dec 22, 2006 Smelt like someone put a few Granny smith apples in a blender. Delish’. Very clear appearance with no head at all. Tasted just like biting into a granny apple but had a very sour bite to it. Not my favourite cider, but not the worst either.
